A Holiday and Wintery Twist on Sangria
Nothing conjures up summertime fun quite like Sangria.
Chilled wine, summer fruits, and sparkling effervescence. Ah, you can almost feel the sun just thinking about it.
While many people turn to mulled spiced wine during the winter months, for those of you looking for a refreshing take on this summer classic, look no further.
This Sangria recipe uses seasonal fall and winter fruits and blackberry brandy to almost make you forget just how cold it is outside.
Yield: serves 4
Total Time: 30 minutes
1 bottle (750mL) rosé
2 cups soda water(plain or flavored of your choice)
1 cup blackberry brandy, any brand is fine
2 honeycrisp apples, sliced
1 orange, cut into wedges
1 cup figs, sliced
1/2 cup grapes, halved
1 Fuyu Persimmon
DIRECTIONS: Combine all the ingredients in a large pitcher. Let it sit for 30 to 60 minutes in the fridge so the fruit will drink up some of the booziness! Serve over ice by scooping out the fruit and pouring the sangria over top.
